Anna Mann and Gabriel Scheidecker (assistant professor at the Department of Social Anthropology and PI of the project “Saving brains?”), are organising a series of talks that explore how to engage ethnographically/with qualitative methods with the sciences of maternal and child health and the knowledge they produce. The talks might be of particular interest to all those working on trans- and interdisciplinarity research.

On the 19th September at 15.00 o’clock Sreeparna Chattopadhyay will speak about «Bloody Politics and the Politics of Blood» (anaemia in India).

Dr. Anna Mann's research focuses on emergences, enactments and transformations of “good” medical care at the beginning of the 21st century. It draws on actor network theory, material semiotics and other approaches developed in the field of science and technology studies (STS) and uses qualitative methods. It contributes to debates on care, values, critique and the medical profession.
