Welcome Tina Baier
We are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Tina Baier at the department as a visiting professor!
Tina's research focuses on social stratification and the question of how social inequality is passed on across generations. She is particularly interested in the role that family contexts play in the development of children and adolescents and how social and genetic factors interact in this process.
Her work combines approaches from life course, family, and inequality research and uses large population data sets to examine how family dynamics and social contexts shape individual life courses.
During her time at the department, she's holding lectures and seminars for Bachelor's and Master's student on empirical research and life course and generations.
Dear Tina, we wish you a great time here in Zurich and all the best for your research and teaching!
- Best wishes the team at SUZ.
