🎤 SUZ Public Talks: «When Do Policies Equalise Genetic Inequalities?» by Alicia GarcĂa-Sierra
Join us for the public talk on Current Sociological Research at the Department of Sociology at the University of Zurich SUZ.
Prof. Dr. Alicia GarcĂa-Sierra is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Social Sciences at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Her research sits at the intersection of social stratification and child development: she studies how advantages and disadvantages are transmitted across generations, and how institutions like the family and the education system shape these processes. Methodologically, she works with quantitative methods, household panel data, and genetic data, with a particular focus on causally-oriented designs.
