Second installment of «Meet the researcher» moved to May 22.
The meeting, which was originally planned for May 8, has been postponed. The new date is May 22, from 14-15h.
Marco, Isabel, and Ilona will introduce themselves and their research.
The primary objective of the sessions is to foster mutual acquaintance and explore potential collaborative opportunities across various Chairs. All researchers - from the SUZ and other departments of the UZH are welcome to attend or participate.
Marco Giesselmann is a research assistant at the Department of Sociology. He coordinates and conducts the training in data management and data analysis. His research is devoted primarily to the impact of institutions on individual living conditions. Publications include articles and textbooks on poverty and low-wage work, on the economic consequences of critical life events, and on the methodology of longitudinal data analysis.
Isabel Raabe is an SNF Ambizione-Grant holder at the Department of Sociology. She is working on school classroom compositions and their effects on social dynamics and educational outcomes. In her research, she is interested in how individuals shape and interact with their social context, and whether this can explain different aspects of social inequality, especially in the educational context.
Ilona Pap is a postdoc at the Chair of Jörg Rössel. Her research focuses on migration and integration, transnationalism, quantitative and factorial design.
We're looking forward to seeing you at the event!
