Reproductive Sociology: What Sperm and Egg Cells Have to Do with Society

Dr. Maila Mertens is a postdoctoral researcher at the Data Centre of the University Research Priority Program Human Reproduction Reloaded H2R at the University of Zurich. Her current research focuses on the societal implications of medically assisted reproduction, with increasing attention to the social handling of infertility, particularly male infertility.
