Matthias Klingler wins URPP H2R 2025 Best Researcher Award

Matthias Klingler, PhD candidate in the URPP Human Reproduction Reloaded H2R, has been one of three researchers honored with the Best Researcher Award 2025. He was recognized for his publication in Advances in Life Course Research and for his strong commitment to the research community.

Matthias has represented the URPP at numerous events and international conferences. He recently published a sole-authored study in Advances in Life Course Research, one of the most important sociological and interdisciplinary life course journals. Beyond his individual success, Matthias demonstrated remarkable initiative by launching a cross-team collaboration within the URPP that successfully integrated a new survey experiment into the CHARLS (Swiss (CH) Assisted Reproduction Longitudinal Study) Wave 2 panel study.

Matthias Klingler is a PhD candidate and research assistant under the supervision of Prof. Marco Giesselmann. His work focuses on family and life-course sociology, with a particular interest in gender inequalities in paid and unpaid labor. He is part of the URPP Human Reproduction Reloaded, and uses longitudinal data and modern causal analysis in his research.
