Master’s Thesis
In light of the administrative work involved in connection with the Master’s thesis and registering to graduate, it is very worthwhile to get an early start in undertaking the necessary preparations.
The module “Master's Thesis (06SM240-MA)” runs over two semesters and is booked by the students themselves during the module booking period. The module is not linked to a course.
The scope and topic of the Master's thesis must be determined in advance with the supervisor. The formal and content-related requirements for the master's thesis are also determined at this stage.
After the booking period has expired, the Dean's Office will ask students to enter a provisional and later the final title of the Master's thesis. In addition, the supervisor must also be specified.
The Master's thesis must be submitted on time at the latest in the semester following the semester of booking (duration: 2 semester). Earlier submission is possible, i.e., even after one semester.
The Master's thesis must be submitted to the supervisor in electronic form (and, if desired, additionally in paper form).
The submission deadlines for the master's thesis are December 1 in the fall semester and June 1 in the spring semester.
