Jingying Wang is a PhD student in the SNSF research project Labour Markets as Emergent Mobility Networks at the Chair of Prof. Per Block since 2023, co-supervised by Prof. Christiaan Monden at the University of Oxford.
Jingying's main research interests are social mobility, social stratification in the labour market, and advanced statistical modelling. In her first doctoral project, she investigates how partner choices are structured around occupations beyond endogamy and homogamy; her second doctoral project examines patterns of cross-occupation moves that reflect how people with different educational attainment follow the career line. She is currently working on how part-time employment channels workers into distinct positions in the labour market.
