Janis Jäger is a doctoral researcher (PhD student) at the chair of Prof. Dr. Katja Rost. He studied sociology and political science at Bielefeld University, as well as sociology at the University of Konstanz.

His research interests lie primarily in the sociology of organizations, the sociology of emotions, and sociological theory.

In his dissertation, he examines the legitimacy of organizations from a shame-theoretical perspective.
