Sinem Ilseven is a doctoral candidate under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Katja Rost. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sociology from Heidelberg University. Her research interests lie in political sociology and cultural sociology, with a focus on institutional logics and social meaning-making.

In her dissertation, she analyzes patterns of change in multigenerational social mobility in Switzerland based on digitized historical data.
