Admission to the Bachelor’s Program

Admission to a Bachelor’s program in Sociology is reviewed and granted by the Student Services Office of the UZH. Consult the admissions prerequisites for a Bachelor’s study program. The Bachelor's program in Sociology is mainly taught in German, so you must meet the UZH language requirements for German.

Applications for enrollment in a Bachelor’s program must be submitted online.

Please pay attention to the information on the application process, application deadlines and the documents to be submitted. Modules can only be booked after admission has been granted and the semester fees have been paid.

Student Orientation Day

For first-year students, the Welcome Days are held every year in the week before lectures begin. After the welcome adress, important information is provided about starting your studies, the course structure and the applicable study regulations. There are also guided tours of the University of Zurich and the Department of Sociology. You will receive the relevant information when you are admitted to the programme.
