The research group "LAbour, Generation, Stratification" (AGES) has been founded in 2005 at the University of Zurich. We focus on following research topics: Employment and labour market, generations in family and society, social structure and social inequality, ageing and life course as well as welfare and international comparisons. Of major importance are the connections in between these fields of research.
The "center for qualitative social research" combines events, projects and cooperations within the field of qualitative methods. This includes method workshops, the annual networking day for qualitative-empirical researchers of the humanities as well as social scientists, as well as other fields (e.g. medicine) and project-based collaboration with tertiary education institutions (e.g. ZHdK, Kaleidos FH, HfH)
