Zahra Lofti and Abdolreza Momeni succesfully defended their PhDs with Katja Rost as the first supervisor. Since 2012 both are affiliated with the Graduate College ‘The Economics of Innovative Change’ at the Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena where Katja Rost had been a professor until 2012. Zahra did a dissertation on the topic "Pay-for-Performance and Corporate Innovation". Abdolreza had been engaged with the topic "Identification and Determinants of Disruptive Technologies in the Photovoltaic Industry using Patent Data".
